Submitted abstracts 2025
On 3 March 2025, WCRC hosted our 2nd annual Wales Cancer Research Conference, showcasing the breadth of research taking place across Wales. We received an incredible volume of abstract submissions which highlighted the diverse and comprehensive range of research being undertaken in the nation. Each abstract was submitted in alignment with one of the CReSt themes:
- Theme 1: Precision and mechanistic oncology
- Theme 2: Immuno-oncology
- Theme 3: Radiotherapy
- Theme 4: Cancer clinical trials
- Theme 5: Palliative and supportive oncology
- Theme 6: Prevention, early detection, primary care and health services research
Below are the titles, authors and institutions for all submitted abstracts.
Following a review process undertaken by our academic theme leads and members of the Early- and Mid- Career Network, one abstract per theme was chosen to present an oral abstract presentation at the conference – these are listed first under the heading ‘lighting talk abstracts’, below them are all of the other abstracts which were brought as posters to the conference, split by CReSt theme.
