Wales Bioinformatics Network

The Wales Bioinformatics Network is a forum for researchers and bioinformaticians to share their experience of working with scientific and medical data, learn from peers and engage with invited speakers.

The Wales Bioinformatics Network (WBN) is for anyone that analyses data in the course of their research including PhD students. Meeting topics will cover various aspects of scientific and medical data, with a focus on cancer, rare disease and infectious disease. From this group, WCRC would like to build a Welsh cohort of bioinformaticians to share expertise and represent Wales in international networks.

By joining, you will receive notice of meeting dates and other relevant opportunities. There is no cost to join, and you may opt out at any time by emailing WCRC.

The next meeting will be on 17 July at 12:00-12:45pm to join this meeting please sign up to the network below.

The WBN also have a GitHub page on which they share blogs and code, you can access it here

The network’s former chair, Dr Alex Gibbs, produced some useful training modules for researchers making a start in RNAseq data processing and analysis.
